Brothers O'Toole is a comedy western set in late 19th century America. Starring John Astin from The Addams Family and Operation Petticoat in two roles and Pat Carroll from Pound Puppies and The Little Mermaid, this is a wonderful send-up of the western genre. Two brothers, not exactly upstanding men, arrive in a Colorado town and try to strike it rich. One O'Toole brother (Astin) is mistaken for a violent man as opposed to the con man he actually is, and is almost hung for it. The east coast brothers, used to talking their way out of anything and everything, keep bumping into problems and revise their plans for making a fortune while the townspeople, most notably the mayor, are dead set against it. This movie has more than a whiff of Mark Twain to it. Money and reputations are won and lost (and possibly lives as well) in this near-slapstick version of a western.
