Buffalo 66 is a seriocomic love story about a depressed man who seeks redemption in revenge, but instead finds it in love. The film opens with Billy Brown (Vincent Gallo) being released from jail after serving five years for a crime he did not commit. On his way home, Billy impulsively decides to kidnap a young dancer named Layla (Christina Ricci) with the intention of passing her off as his wife to his parents. When the two arrive at their home, Layla quickly realizes why Billy may be so depressed since his Mom (Anjelica Huston) only seems to care about pro football and his Dad (Ben Gazzara) can't stop lusting after Layla. We quickly learn, however, that Billy did not come back home to see his parents. He came home to kill the man whom he believes caused all his troubles, Scott Woods (Bob Wahl). Will Billy kill Woods and go back to jail, or will he realize that the woman he kidnapped may actually be the love of his life?moreless
