Bugsy: Extended Edition is a 1991 film about the true story of Ben "Bugsy" Siegel, an American gangster. Played by Warren Beatty, Bugsy associates with the mob and dreams of building a huge casino in the middle of Las Vegas. With hard work, Bugsy makes the Flamingo Casino a reality, as well as the entire city of Las Vegas. However, two mob bosses, Meyer Lansky (Ben Kingsley) and Mickey Cohen (Harvey Keitel) do not like that Bugsy spent so much of their money on the project. Bugsy's life hangs in the balance, as well as the life of his lover, Virginia Hill (Annette Bening). She supports Bugsy's dreams, but she also pursues her own ambitions in the movie. The movie perfectly handles the chemistry between Beatty and Bening and the passion the two share in striving for success. The Oscar-winning film packs brutal violence, as well as admiration for Bugsy, in this uncut, extended edition directed by Barry Levinson.moreless
