Burn! depicts the Nineteenth Century where the derisive and idealistic British agent Sir William Walker (Marlon Brando), arrives in Queimada, which is a Portuguese colony in the Antilles. He intends to promote a revolution that will benefit the country's sugar trade with England. The slaves are hungry for freedom. They are weary of sowing their sweat for years in the sugar plantations of Queimada with little to show for it. Under the guise of promoting a revolution by the slaves, Sir William Walker manages to earn the trust of a slave leader, Jose Dolores (Evaristo Marquez). He then oversees the ascent of President Teddy Sanchez (Renato Salvatori) to power with the invisible hand of the British government in the background. The plot works like magic only to fail ten years later when the rebels seize control. These rebels threaten to ruin the flourishing sugar trade run by England. Jose Dolores, a friend turned foe, is the man with the power to halt the mutiny by the rebels in the Caribbean sugar plantations. Will this jungle hardened criminal cower or carry on the fight?moreless
