Burnzy's Last Call is a 1995 comedy and drama about a single day in New York, highlighting the many colorful and interesting patrons who spend time at the small and humble bar. As the neighborhood starts changing, the bar still stays the same, and the locals gather to reminisce about old times and create new memories with each other. The patrons come from all walks of life, including Sal (James McCaffrey), the careworn bartender, Burnzy (Sam Gray), a longtime drinker who has frequented the bar nearly every day for decades, and the loudmouthed and argumentative Andre (David Johansen). The film follows each patron's own distinctive story as the friends and strangers mingle together, dropping in for a drink and sharing their grievances, worries, hopes and humorous anecdotes with each other. The slice-of-life story depends on a strong ensemble cast, capturing the sometimes contemplative and sometimes boisterous atmosphere at a small neighborhood bar.
