  • About this film

    10
It had wonderful storyline and my mom's great, great grandmother is half-native American. It had great cinematography, single camera picture editing, makeup, sound editing and sound mixing.
  • You took away an episode of The Sopranos to give me this? What a derivative, preachy Afterschool Special disguised as an HBO "prestige" production!

    6.3
Evil white men. Noble savages. A white "champion", sympathetic to the cause of the Indians. We've seen this all before, and done infinitely better. The stilted dialogue and cardboad-cutout acting don't help things either.

Not to minimize the horrors that were visited upon America's natives- I understand that atrocities were done to them in the name of "civilizing" the West- but this movie does them a disservice by telling their tale so shoddily. The production values are substandard- the costumes look like they were bought at an F Troop yard sale, and the CGI effects are obvious and unconvincing.

What did I like about this movie...hmmm, can I get back to you on that one?moreless
