B.U.S.T.E.D, released in 1997, is the story of two cousins who leave prison in Northern London only to discover the harder reality outside of the prison walls. While Ray (Andrew Goth) plans to stop dealing drugs and turn himself into a hip-hop music sensation, his cousin, Terry (Goldie) wants to bring him back into the drug world with him. Homoerotically fixated on Ray, Terry starts a gang war hoping to drag Ray into it with him. Terry will do anything to bring Ray in, including committing brutal murders of his Asian competitors. When Ray's only choice is to try to survive, he begins to give up on his dreams. Directed by Andrew Goth, and co-starring David Bowie, this movie offers the viewer a look at the grim reality of the gang lifestyle with an upbeat music-video type feeling. This is a film that will stay with you for years to come.
