Buying the Cow, is a romantic comedy starring Jerry O'Connell and Ryan Reynolds. The film features David (O'Connell) as a man who is scared to death of commitment in a long-term relationship with his girlfriend Sarah ('''Bridget Wilson). Knowing that Sarah is soon expecting a marriage proposal, he loses it and heads out to prove that the age-old adage is true: "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?" His journey takes him on a frantic dating spree to prove he doesn't need to get married to be happy. Throughout his journey to prove his point, he starts to realize that his true happiness was with Sarah and that he is simply lying to himself by denying his love for her. The film is a lighthearted exploration of love and a fear of commitment. The film provides laughs throughout and a touching romance that makes the film complete.moreless
