Movie Summary

Director:
Eli Roth
Released:
2003
Rating:
R
Cabin Fever is a 2002 80's-styled horror movie centered around a group of college students who are tormented by blood-sucking'insects? The film was written and directed by Eli Roth (Inglorious Bastards, Hostel) just one year after he graduated from NYU's film school. Paul (Rider Strong), Karen (Jordan Ladd), Bert (James DeBello), Marcy (Cerina Vincent) and Jeff (Joey Kern) decide to take a much needed trip to the woods where they have every intention of temporarily losing their grasps on reality. As they sit in repose around a cozy campfire, an ominous figure appears from within the depths of the woods. The kids don't hesitate for long and quickly send the creature back to the forest. However, an ominous, foreboding presence still lingers, and sets each kid into their own paranoid state. What's most concerning is the rate at which this insect-inspired virus is spreading - it appears even locals are catching it. Cabin Fever is a must see horror film for all those who appreciate Eli Roth's talent and work.moreless
