Movie Summary

Director:
Edward L. Cahn
Released:
1960
Rating:
Cage of Evil is a story of deceit and betrayal, a dark crime drama about the depths to which a man can fall. Scott Harper (Ronald Foster), a Los Angeles police detective, investigates the theft of uncut diamonds worth $250,000. When Detective Harper determines that the mastermind of this heist is Kurt Romack (Howard McLeod), he quickly falls for Romack's girlfriend, Holly Taylor (Patricia Blair). Fearing for her life, Taylor suggests that Romack could be killed while resisting arrest. Detective Harper, embittered by the loss of a possible promotion and the untimely shooting of his fellow officers, agrees. Can Harper really go through with this, and what are the consequences of these actions? Just how low can a good man be brought by circumstance? Cage of Evil is a gritty, uncompromising tale of the underbelly of the city, and what it can do to anyone...even an officer of the law.
