PG-13

Canât Hardly Wait is a 1998 American romantic comedy movie by directors Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont, starring Ethan Embry, Charlie Korsmo, Lauren Ambrose, Peter Facinelli, Seth Green, and Jennifer Love Hewitt. Canât Hardly Wait is set at a high school graduation party, where an eclectic group of Pennsylvanian recent high school graduates celebrate their graduation at the home of a rich class member. The party guests have various goals for the evening: misfit Preston Meyers (Ethan Embry) is determined to proclaim his love for prom queen Amanda Beckett (Jennifer Love Hewitt), on whom he has had a four year crush; Kenny Fisher (Seth Green) is determined to lose his virginity once and for all; and the slightly-crazy Willam Lichter (Charlie Korsmo) wants revenge on top jock Mike Dexter (Peter Facinelli), who also happens to be Amandaâs recent ex-boyfriend, for making his high school years miserable. All of these various plans put together in a hormone-ladden and booze-flowing party environment lead to some comedic situations. Canât Hardly Wait was nominated for a 1999 MTV Movie Award and a 1999 Young Artist Award.
