Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter is a 1974 horror movie directed by Brian Clemens. In the small European village of Durward, a cloaked villain is attacking beautiful maidens, causing them to die with the faces of withered hags. Dr. Marcus (John Carson) believes that a supernatural force is behind their tragic deaths, so he asks for help from his old friend Captain Kronos (Horst Janson), who is a world-renowned vampire hunter. With help from his assistant, Professor Hieronymus Grost (John Cater), Captain Kronos soon discovers that there is a strange vampire in the village that is feeding on youth and beauty instead of blood. This creature is unlike any vampire that the captain has ever seen, and it proves to be impervious to his normal slaying methods. Captain Kronos must use all of his skills to figure out a way to destroy the evil vampire before time runs out for the rest of the maidens in the village.
