Career Opportunities is a romantic comedy released in 1991. In the film, Jim Dodge (Frank Whaley) runs into trouble when, after losing several jobs, his father gives him an ultimatum to either get a job at the local Target or get a one-way bus ticket to St. Louis. Jim is hired to work as the night janitor at the Target and is locked inside the store by his boss on his first night. While he is cleaning the store, Jim realizes that he is not alone when Josie McClellan (Jennifer Connelly) suddenly appears. She had been hiding in the store to stay away from her father, Roger Roy McClellan (Noble Willingham). While Jim and Josie horse around in the dark, empty store two criminals, Nestor (Dermot Mulroney) and Gil (Kieran Mulroney) break into the store to rob it. The two become the hostages of the crook and must find a way not only to free themselves, but also to sort out their respective lives.moreless
