Carriers is a 2009 horror film starring Chris Pine, Lou Taylor Pucci, Piper Perabo, and Emily VanCamp about a virus that kills most of the world, and the struggles of four friends trying to hold on to their humanity as long as possible. The film centers on two brothers-Brian (Chris Pine) and Danny Green (Lou Taylor Pucci). The Green brothers are intent on sticking together during this worldwide tragedy, where a pandemic virus has rapidly spread from person to person, leaving a high death count in its wake. Brain and Danny fondly recall the summers they spent as children at a place called Turtle Beach, and they decide that would be the safest place to settle while the world deals with the virus problem. They set out, along with Brian's girlfriend Bobby (Perabo) and Danny's friend Kate (VanCamp), on a mission to make it safely to the safe shores of Turtle Beach. However, as the four friends travel under the threat of the vicious illness, they soon learn that other survivors are just as dangerous as the deadly disease. Carriers was well received by critics and audiences, and is written and directed by filmmaking duo Alex and David Pastor.
