Carry On Abroad is a 1972 comedy film and the twenty-fourth installment in the Carry On film collection, starring Joan Sims, Charles Hawtrey, Kenneth Williams, Sid James, Gail Grainger, and more in its colorful cast. When a group of ready-to-relax English vacationers head to the sunny resort of Elsbels to enjoy their vacation package, there is one thing they are definitely not expecting: that the hotel is only half-built! Determined to have fun, anyway, the group let loose as only vacation can make people do. That includes a monk having a fling, a party in which too much of a local drink with aphrodisiac-like properties is consumed, and a woman losing a lot of her inhibitions in a very short time. With all the craziness going on in the group, they barely realize how strange the staff is—or the unpleasant effect that the weather is having on the hotel’s foundations. That can only lead to even funnier moments, so check out Carry On Abroad!moreless
