Carry On Girls is the 25th Carry On film in the British comedic series. Directed by Gerald Thomas, the film takes the battle of the sexes to the seaside town of Fircombe, where City Councillor Sidney Fiddle (Sid James) has hit upon the idea of conducting a beauty contest to boost tourism in this rainy town. While Mayor Frederick Bumble (Kenneth Connor) likes the idea, feminist Councillor August Prodworthy (June Whitfield) is adamantly opposed. As the action heats up, Mayor Bumble drops his pants for publicity and battling biker babes Hope Springs (Barbara Windsor) and Dawn Brakes (Margaret Nolan) bikini wrestle onstage. On the opposing side, Mildred (Patsy Rowlands), the mayor's wife, joins Prodworthy and butch feminist Rosemary (Patricia Franklin), to stop the pageant from happening. With British drag queen Peter Potter (Bernard Bresslaw) joining the festivities, it's not long before dirty tricks lead to an angry mob demanding justice. Find out who wins the battle of the sexes in this fast moving British comedy.moreless
