Movie Summary

John Lasseter

From the creators of Cars comes a new, laugh-out-loud, heart-warming adventure geared for the entire family. Star racecar Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) and the incomparable tow truck Mater (Larry the Cable Guy) take their friendship on the road from Radiator Springs to exciting new places when they head overseas to compete in the first-ever World Grand Prix to determine the world's fastest car. But the road to the championship is filled with plenty of potholes, detours and hilarious surprises when Mater gets caught up in an intriguing adventure of his own: international espionage! It's turbo-charged action and thrills and "even better than before," raves Peter Travers of Rolling Stone.

  • One of Pixar's Best and Underrated Films

Now this is how you make a great movie and a great sequel!

Pixar really thought outside the box for this one.

They did their research about international locations, they picked a stellar voice cast, and they wrote an excellent story.

They upped the ante, and as a result, we have a sequel that's darker, edgier, more mature, and yet just as fun as the original.

Cars 2 is an awesome and better sequel to the original Cars movie - and it's also one of Pixar's best.

Very underrated as of the moment.moreless
  • There's way too much hate for this movie.

Before you call me out for being a ***ed Pixar fanboy who only like this movie because it's Pixar, let me make this clear: I don't like the Pixar movies because they're Pixar movies. I LOVE the Pixar movies because they're great movies. Cars 2 might not be the best of the bunch, but that doesn't make it a bad movie. I really liked Mater in this, I thought he was funny and well developed in this movie. I also love how we got to see more of the world of Cars and how they operate; I really don't understand how people criticize this movie for showing how cars go to the bathroom or are able to consume food yet they're the same people who keep fussing about other films to "show, not I also liked the action in this movie, from the car fights to the gadgets the spies use. The plot is also well done; typically racing and spies have nothing in common, but where other films fail, this one succeeds to a fault. I'll admit, Sir Axelrod's motivations weren't exactly clear (and even if they were, they'd be pretty ***ed) and the supporting characters from the first film aren't in this film as much, but those minor flaws don't make this a bad movie. Could it have been better? Yes, but for what it's worth, this is still a good, fun, action packed movie. The only people who shouldn't watch this movie are those who either hate Mater or hate Cars; as for me, I can't wait for Cars 3.moreless
  • Oh pixar what has happened to you?

Okay let me say I love Pixar their movies are so amazing. And even though cars 1 was not as good as most of their films it was very fun and enjoyable, and had likable characters. But this not so much While this movie had super visuals, and voice acting the story was way to confusing , and also making matter the main protagonist, wow even lighting was not shown hardly in this movie matter had plenty of time in the first film, he was awesome as the deurtagonist .

So overall these are the flaws and pros of the film.

    +splendid visuals and animation

    +Fantastic action scenes

    +Awesome voice acting

    -Confusing storyline

    -Making mater the main protagonist

-Turning this in more of a spy film then racing movie

    Overall 5.0 Mediocre.

  • Uno dei migliori lavori della Pixar.

One of the best of the Walt Dinsey Pixar's movies.
  • Because Pixar was ignorant to the wishes of Incredibles 2.

    It's bad. Bye.
