Casanova Brown is a classic romantic comedy featuring multiple potential brides, lots of confusion, and a baby. Casanova "Cass" Brown (Gary Cooper), a university professor, easily falls in love and hopes to marry every lovely girl he meets. He really does marry Isobel (Teresa Wright), but this is short-lived as her mother annuls the marriage after Cass accidentally burns down her house following a series of comic miscues. Cass quickly recovers and arranges to marry Madge (Anita Louise). The night before the wedding Cass gets a message to go to a hospital to see a baby. He is an honest guy and tells Madge he has to investigate. He finds that Isobel had their baby. A misunderstanding leads Cass to kidnap the baby and hide in a hotel where the bell boy and maid clumsily help him learn how to take care of his daughter. Cass, afraid the baby will not have a mother, takes the hotel maid to register for marriage. Soon all three potential wives come together and a happy solution is found. This is light humor and farce with lots of silly antics and colorful characters.moreless
