Cash McCall is the 1960 classic romantic drama starring James Garner that anticipated the coming decades of Wall Street greed and corruption. Cash McCall (James Garner) is a powerful businessman making a fortune by capitalizing on businesses. He buys companies that are on the verge of bankruptcy or closure, restructures them, and then sells them again at a profit. It takes an iron will and unflinching nerves for him to move into chaotic situations and bring order to them. Now McCall is up against the card game of his life, as he sets out to buy languishing Grant Austen's Plastics. The stakes are not all that unfamiliar to him. It's the wild card that throws him off, as he falls in love with Lory Austen (Natalie Wood), daughter of the company's owner, Grant (Dean Jagger). Grant already has retirement in his sights, but he's not about to eagerly let go of his babies, the company that he built and the daughter that he loves.moreless
