Catalina Trust is a 1999 drama directed by Will Conroy. New Yorker Marshall Pike (Jay Harrington) is feeling successful; he is getting a raise at work and he is engaged to the very popular and beautiful Kitty Lehuesen (Erica Shaffer), who is from his Brooklyn neighborhood. He has overcome a rough childhood, including the death of his parents and the supposed betrayal of his grandfather. One night, an image of his grandfather appears to him and Marshall later discovers that his grandfather died at that moment. Marshall flies to Arizona to settle his grandfather's estate and collect his inheritance. Marshall's foster brother, Freddie (David Vegh), a recently graduated law student, joins him on the journey, where Marshall plans to sell his grandfather's inn. When they arrive, the two men are enthusiastically welcomed by the staff and they discover that the Catalina Inn is a historic landmark. Gradually, the warm reception and kind treatment by the staff weaken Marshall's resolve to sell the inn. When Marshall meets his grandfather's secretary, Siohban (Arabella Holzbog), his plans change once again.moreless
