Movie Summary

Director:
Bart Freundlich
Released:
2004
Rating:
PG
Catch That Kid stars Kristen Stewart as Maddy, an adventure-hungry, go-cart-riding 12-year-old who inherited her father's love for dangerous climbs. Her parents forbid her from climbing after her father falls 100 feet during a climb, paralyzing him from the neck down. There's an experimental surgery that could fix Maddy's dad, but her family can't afford the $250,000 it costs. Maddy hatches a plan to break into Harderbach Financial, the bank her mother is designing a new security system for. Maddy's two friends, Gus (Max Theriot) and Austin (Corbin Bleu), agree to help her, since they both have big time crushes on the pretty daredevil. It won't be easy, but Maddy will do everything she can to save her father. Gus and Austin try to keep up with her, all the while desperate for her affections. Catch That Kid is filled with family-friendly fun, a slick and fast-paced action movie with plenty of heart.
