    And Then Came Lola

    Released 2009
And Then Came Lola is the story of Lola (Ashleigh Summer) and her attempts at professional success and personal triumph. Shaped from the German film, Run Lola Run, this version has a similar theme, but the main characters are lesbians. The fact that the characters are gay is not part of the theme of the movie: it is a movie where the character just happen to be gay, which has been applauded by some as true acceptance of an often overlooked portion of society. Lola has a new love interest, Casey (Jill Bennett), and at the same time, her career as a photographer is really taking off. Lola has one major flaw: she is always late. Casey needs her to deliver a package to a critical job interview, and Lola must overcome her truancy. This one task comes to represent much more than delivering a package. Lola's success as a person seems to hinge on whether she can deliver this package to her new lady. She rushes around San Francisco, and there is always another obstacle slowing her down. Will Lola make it to Casey with the package? Will Lola fail and her life hit the skids?moreless

The End Times is a compelling presentation of the major events that will immediately precede and unfold during the Tribulation. This video includes such concepts as: the Rapture, a time when Jesus Christ will appear and take the faithful to heaven instantly; the rise of the Antichrist, a world leader empowered by Satan; the outpouring of God's wrath and the final judgment upon the earth; and, finally, the triumphant return of Jesus Christ. This video considers the prophecies foretelling the end of human history as delivered from the lips of history's most credible authority-Jesus Christ. What did He say and what did He mean about the final days before His return to Earth? What events foreshadow the end of civilization as we know it? Providing their insights and expertise, this film includes Dr. Tim LaHaye, co-author of "Left Behind", Dr. Ed Hindson, author of "Final Signs", and Dr. Thomas Ice, author of "When the Trumpet Sounds". Using computer animation, fine art, dramatizations, and an original music score, this program is more pertinent today than ever before. Released 2011
Petals - Journey into Self Discovery is a remarkable 50-minute documentary that both questions, and then examines, the many unspoken myths about the appearance and nature of women's sexual organs. The essence of a woman's sexuality -- her vulva - has been a taboo subject for cultures locked into fears of our basic physical nature. These deep-seated beliefs directly affect female sexual self-esteem. The movie records the reactions of sex educators, women's health professionals, art critics, female activists, as well as the man/woman-in-the-street as they confront the physical mystery of womanhood.Photographer Nick Karras has composed intimate images with an unusual visual and emotional sensitivity. The documentary follows his personal journey as he produces a book of artful photographs. The subtle black and white photographs discover the delicate beauty in the infinite variety of female genitals, inspiring a profound sense of wonder and awe. Quite unlike the frenzied exploitation of sexuality common in media presentations, the frank honesty of Petals is intensely revealing. Unforgettable women, some who become guides and teachers in the quest, join in confronting both the current fears and timeless beauty found in a woman's most basic sexual nature. While recording evolving insights into this sensitive subject, the filmmakers were continually challenged to go more deeply into personal histories of the women interviewed. These stories uncovered both personal trauma and unfamiliar pleasures as forbidden cultural attitudes were unblocked by an honest display of women's genitalia. This lucid documentary by Beck Peacock -- 2008 winner of the Sexual Intelligence Award -- examines the many issues reported by women as they attempt to discover beauty and pride in the most sacred part of themselves.moreless

Who was Barabbas, the robber who went free by the will of the crowd when Jesus went to the cross? This expensive 1962 film, an international co-production made mostly in Italy, imagines an answer to that question. Anthony Quinn plays Barabbas as a violent, unthinking man, without ideals or foresight, who, after being (as he sees it) miraculously spared from certain death, spends almost three decades contemplating the man who died instead of him, and wondering endlessly about his purpose in the world. Ending in the Rome of the Emperor Nero, the film is less a conventional spectacular than a meditation on the meaning of Christianity.moreless
