Cathedral Pines is an independently produced, full-length film shot in the state of Massachusetts. Filmed on a budget of just $9000, it is the freshman screenwriting work of lead actor Donnie Moorhouse, and was produced by Highland Shore Media. The story centers on main characters Ryan Tripp (Moorhouse) and Anna Dias (Lindsay Fairchild). Ryan is a widower who has lost his three sons; Anna is a young woman trying to strengthen her relationship with her boyfriend James (Matty Blake). The story begins two years after Ryan's wife dies while giving birth, when he wakes up to learn that his three sons have died. Meanwhile, Anna finds herself inexplicably haunted by the ghosts of three young boys. As these two strangers' lives intersect, both find themselves in Cathedral Pines, where Ryan must fight an archaic evil entity for the souls of his sons, who have not managed to cross to the other side after their deaths.
