Celtic Pride is a 1996 comedy directed by Tom DeCerchio and starring Dan Aykroyd (Ghostbusters), Damon Wayons (In Living Color) and Daniel Stern (City Slickers). The movie is set during the middle of the NBA playoffs as the Boston Celtics are playing the Utah Jazz in the championship series. P.E. teacher Mike O'Hara (Daniel Stern) and plumber Jimmy Flaherty (Dan Aykroyd) are obsessive Celtic fans. Mike is such a big fan that it is ruining his marriage, as his wife cannot stand his mood swings when the Celtics lose. One day at a bar, Mike and Jimmy spot the Utah Jazz's best player Lewis Scott (Damon Wayons). Mike and Jimmy pose as Jazz fans and start buying Lewis drinks. The next day Mike and Jimmy wake up with a severe hangover and discover that they got so drunk the night before that they kidnapped Lewis. Lewis is tied up in a chair in the living room! Mike and Jimmy had no intention of kidnapping Lewis and decide to let him go, however, they change their mind when that realize that if the Jazz are forced to play without Lewis, Boston will have a great chance to win the championship game.
