Cet Amour-La is a French biographical film released in 2002. The film's subject is French author, director, and television personality Marguerite Duras, who had many of her popular books adapted into plays and films as well. Jeanne Moreau stars as Marguerite and Aymeric Demarigny stars as Yann Andrea in this film directed by Josee Dayan. The film starts out in the later part of Duras' life, during a time she was struggling with writer's block and alcoholism. One day, she meets Yann Andrea, who is a huge fan of hers and showed up on the steps of her apartment building. Despite the fact that he was considerably younger than her, Marguerite fell madly in love with Yann after he essentially forced himself into her life and her heart. Their love and life together helped Marguerite rediscover her love for life, and they were inseparable for 16 years, until the day she died.
