Charley Varrick is the 1973 crime drama thriller from legendary tough guy filmmaker Don Siegel (Dirty Harry, Escape from Alcatraz, The Shootist, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, The Killers), from the novel by John Reese. Small town crook Charley Varrick (Walter Matthau, The Odd Couple, Grumpy Old Men, Dennis the Menace, Charade, The Taking of Pelham One Two Three, The Bad News Bears), who with fast talking accomplice Harman Sullivan (Andy Robinson, Dirty Harry, Hellraiser, The Puppet Masters), get in over their head's when they rip off a small town bank for a lot more loot than they bargained. Enter cold blooded and ruthless bank president, Maynard Boyle (John Vernon, Dirty Harry, Animal House, Killer Klowns from Outer Space) and professional assassin Molly (Joe Don Baker, Mitchell, Cape Fear, Walking Tall, Congo, Goldeneye) and the situation really starts to heat up!! Also starring Norman Fell (The Graduate, Bullitt, Three's Company, The Ropers).
