Charlie Chan and the Curse of the Dragon Queen

Movie Summary

Director:
Clive Donner
Released:
1981
Rating:
PG
Charlie Chan and the Curse of the Dragon Queen tells the story of a retired detective, Charlie Chan (Peter Ustinov), who is called into duty to solve a mysterious string of murders in San Fransisco. He must decide if this is the work of his mortal foe, the Dragon Queen (Angie Dickinson), or if there are more powerful forces at work. The film has an air of comedy as the killer turns his victims into human baked potatoes. Charlie Chan's grandson (Richard Hatch) is there to lend a hand whenever his grandfather needs help and the two prove to be quite the duo as they attempt to solve the case. Other characters include Police Chief Baxter (Brian Keith), Cordelia Farenington (Michelle Pfiffer) and Bernard Lupowitz (Michael Fairman). This film is a mixture of mystery and comedy as many jokes are injected into the otherwise serious dialogue. Charlie Chan and the Curse of the Dragon Queen was released in 1981 and directed by Clive Donner.moreless
