Charm School, released in 2007, is a Mexican comedy directed by Fernando Sarinana. This Spanish language film is also known as Ninas Mal. The movie's plot focuses on a rebellious teenager named Adela Leon (Martha Higareda). She is the daughter of Mexico City politician Martin Leon (Rafael Sanchez Navarro) and is constantly getting into trouble. One night while performing on stage Adela tears her shirt off and is arrested for indecent exposure. Fearing that this sort of negative publicity could damage his standing in the upcoming election, Adela's father sends her to a private, all-girl school run by Maca Ribera (Blanca Guerra). Maca believes that she can turn any girl, no matter how difficult, into a prim and proper housewife, but she is in for the challenge of a lifetime when Adela arrives and starts turning the school upside-down. Other girls at the school include Maribel (Heidi Aura), Heidi (Alejandre Adame), Valentina (Ximena Sarinana) and Pia (Camila Sodi). Together, Adela and her new friends are able to discover what is truly important in life.moreless
