Movie Summary

Shawn Levy
Cheaper by the Dozen is a 2003 family comedy directed by Shawn Levy. The comedy centers around the humongous Baker family as they move from a small town in Illinois to the Big City. The family is relocating so Tom Baker (Steve Martin), the father, can begin working at a nearby university as the head coach of the football team. The family tries to be supportive as they know this is Tom's dream job. Shortly after arriving in their new town Kate Baker (Bonnie Hunt) has her dream come true as well. But to make her dream a total success she must go on a book tour, leaving Tom to manage the huge family on his own. Being in a new town, having a new job, less than happy children and his wife away on business, Tom must do whatever he can to keep things together, at least until Kate returns.

Unfortunately knows no tone between schmaltzy/gooey and slapstick/gross-out. Pic is as far from the original pic and its autobiographical memoir source as it can be while retaining...

A bubbling crockpot of farcical mush to warm the tummies of anyone who really and truly misses "The Brady Bunch," and I mean really and truly.

  • Rubbers? What's that?

Title says it all. This movie is nothing but an old man with devil-spawn children who cause nothing but trouble with no consequences whatsoever. I'm not joking, he literally risked his nuts for 12 spoiled brats. If I done ANY of the crap that the kids do in this movie, I'd get my rear end spanked or get grounded for a long long time. Oh, and I was in 6th grade when I watched this (FORCED) and it SUCKED. I'm going to start calling this Caillou: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut. Also, WHY DID THIS GET A 9?! I bet that's either by accident or stupid people who watch too much teen mom.moreless
