Released:
1981
Rating:

Cheech & Chong's Nice Dreams is the third feature film from the kings of stoner comedy, Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong. The film begins with Cheech and Chong operating a new business as peddlers of marijuana-infused ice cream that they sell out of their truck. Stacy Keach reprises his role as Sergeant Stedanko, the officer whose many attempts to put Cheech and Chong away have made him into a stoner himself. As they travel the country selling their ice cream and avoiding the police, they run into friends like Cheech's ex-girlfriend Donna (Evelyn Guerrero) and Howie “Hamburger” Dude (Paul Reubens), a mental patient with a cocaine habit. The film also features an appearance by the famed drug-experimenting academic Timothy Leary as a doctor who tries to cure Cheech and Chong's mental instability with some mind-expanding substances. Cheech & Chong's Nice Dreams was directed by Tommy Chong and features music by Harry Betts.
