Chilly Dogs, also known as Kevin of the North, is a 2001 family film set in the shadows of the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race in Alaska. The film follows Kevin Manley (Skeet Ulrich) who, upon receiving an inheritance of 200 acres of land from his grandfather, leaves his life as a salesman in Los Angeles for a new life in Alaska. However, to take possession of the valuable land, Kevin must compete in the highly competitive Iditarod race. In fact, the land is so valuable that many of his competitors, including Clive Thorton (Leslie Nielsen) and Carter (Rik Mayall), will stop at nothing to keep Kevin from finishing so they can buy his grandfather's land. Complicating matters is Kevin's burgeoning relationship with his race instructor, Bonnie Livengood (Natasha Henstridge), who is also the granddaughter of his grandfather's nemesis. With so much at stake, can Kevin overcome the odds and fulfill his grandfather's last wish?
