China Heat is a 1992 Hong Kong action movie co-directed by William Cheung and Yang Yang. It is a highly fictionalized true story of a team of female police officers working in a joint Hong Kong/US counter-narcotic operation. Captain Tie Hua (Sibelle Hu) leads a three woman squad in pursuit of murderous Hong Kong drug lord Hong Gang (Allen Lan Lai Han). After years of investigation, the squad learns the location of Hong Gang's secret hide out when a low level drug runner kills a police officer. In his panic to escape, the drug runner leads the women directly to Hong Gang. A daring raid is quickly organized and mounted, but Hong Gang manages to escape. Desperate to remain free, he flees and lead the squad on a desperate chase across Asia to New York. Once in the US the squad teams up with bungling NYPD detective, and martial arts instructor, Mike (Mike De Pasquale). Together they battle through hoards of goons until the final showdown with Hong Gang himself.moreless
