China Moon is a neo-noir film directed by John Bailey (Groundhog Day, As Good as It Gets, The Producers). The movie centers around a Floridian woman named Rachel Munro (Madeleine Stowe) who suspects her husband, Rupert (Charles Dance) is cheating on her. She hires a pair of detectives named Lamar Dickey (Benicio del Toro) and Kyle Bodine (Ed Harris) to follow her husband and discover the truth behind his odd behavior. Ironically, Rachel develops a crush on one of the detectives, Bodine, and their interaction escalates into a full on physical relationship. Things take a turn for the worse when Rachel shoots her husband in a rage. Bodine, who is utterly confused by Rachel's actions, is thrown through another loop when she asks him to dispose of the body. Dickey, Bodine's sidekick, discovers the body and begins to question the scene of the crime. With all clues pointing to Bodine, Dickey can't help but suspect Bodine killed Rachel's husband. Bodine, in self-defense, denies every claim made by Dickey. Rachel has turned the men against one another, making sure she profits in the end.moreless
