Chocolate is a 2008 Thai martial arts film that pits a mother and daughter against a criminal underworld. Zin (Ammara Siripong) is a money-lender working for a Thai gangster called No. 8 (Pongpat Wachirabunjong) and married to Yakuza boss Masashi (Hiroshi Abe). In a fit of jealousy, No. 8 forbids Zin from seeing Masashi again, leading Zin to flee for the safety of her unborn daughter. Years later, her daughter, Zen (Yanin "Jeeja" Vismistananda), has grown up an autistic young woman with a natural genius for martial arts. She picks up her moves by watching television and copying what she sees at the Muay Thai school next to her home. When Zin falls ill with cancer and there is no money for treatment, Zen finds a list of outstanding debts from her mother's lending days and sets out on a mission to collect. Things turn violent quickly and attract a lot of attention, particularly from Masashi and the merciless No. 8.moreless
