Citizen's Band, a comedy directed by Jonathan Demme, explores the CB radio fad of the 1970's. The movie opens with Chrome Angel (Charles Napier), a road-seasoned truck driver, laid up at the home of CB radio enthusiast Hot Coffee (Alix Elias) while he recuperates from an accident. Hot Coffee lives in a small town with a very active CB radio community and news of Chrome Angel's situation travels fast over the airwaves. Chrome's wife, Dallas (Ann Wedgeworth), soon arrives to make sure he is properly recovering. The problem for Chrome Angel is that his second wife, Portland (Marcia Rodd), has the same idea and ends up in the same small town as Dallas. At the same time, another romance in the small town is playing out over the citizen's band for all to hear. Spider (Paul Le Mat) and his brother, Blood (Bruce McGill), are both trying to land a date with the beautiful Elektra (Candy Clark). Hilarity ensues as the two tangled webs intertwine both on the air and off.
