He starts spending more and more time at his apartment, searching for job prospects and sending out his resume. He soon starts to feel powerless, especially after he starts watching television to fill his time and finds himself drawn to news programs about the war on terror. Terry starts watching Gabe, compiling information on his activities and visitors.
