Classic Rhythm & Blues: Vol. 5 is a compilation of blues performances from the 1980s as well as some behind-the-scenes looks behind the music and the musicians. Hosted by Ben Sidrian, a noted jazz and rock pianist musician and author of the book "Talking Jazz," this video includes artists like Bonnie Koloc. Koloc is an Illinois-based singer-songwriter who first emerged in the 1970s. Here she performs her songs "There's a Space in the Place Where You Were" and "You Played Me Just Like a Piano." Chick Corea is a jazz pianist who was a member of Miles Davis' band in the 1960s and a key figure in the electric jazz fusion movement. Corea performs the song "Rumble." English blues singer Long John Baldry performs the much covered New Orleans song "Iko Iko", first written in 1953 by James "Sugar Boy" Crawford. Also featured on this video is a performance by the long-running horn band Tower of Power.
