Coast to Coast is a 1980 comedy film revolving around Madie Levrington (Dyan Cannon), a wealthy but neurotic woman. Her husband, Benjamin (Quinn K. Redeker) commits her to a mental institution so she will not divorce him and take his money. Madie escapes from the institution, hitching a ride from a livestock truck driver, Charles (Robert Blake). Charles hears about Madie's escape on his CB radio and because he is in debt, he meets up with people that are looking for Madie to talk about turning Madie in. He is given a reward for giving these people information. At the same time, Charles has doubts about turning her in because of the feelings he is developing for her. Eventually, Madie finds the money and questions Charles about where the money came from. He tries lying, but Madie sees through the lie and gets out of the truck. What happens next to Madie will change her live forever.moreless
