Cocaine Cowboys 2 is the chillingly true sequel to the documentary that followed the Miami cocaine trade in the 1980's. Released in 2008, this Billy Corben film dives into the gritty reality of an Oakland, CA-based cocaine and drug dealer, Charles Crosby. The film follows his rise from a small-time pusher to a many times over millionaire in just a few months. The backdrop for his success falls into the hands of a woman, Griselda Blanco, better known as The Black Widow. Blanco happens to be one of the largest cocaine drug lords in the United States at the time. While serving a jail sentence, Cosby sends Blanco a heartfelt fan letter. Before he knows it, Blanco dubs Crosby 'her man' and hands her 40 million dollar a year cocaine empire over to him while she's in prison. But it doesn't take long for Crosby to realize that he may be way in over his head, when he all to closely finds out why Blanco is nicknamed, The Black Widow.moreless
