Colorado Territory is a 1949 western film directed by Raoul Walsh. Wes McQueen (Joel McCrea), a notorious outlaw has just been released from prison. He heads out west to meet his friend and the man who helped free him, Dave Rickard (Basil Ruysdael). When the stagecoach he is traveling in is attacked by robbers, McQueen defends the other passengers, earning him the respect and gratitude of the townspeople in the nearby village. When McQueen discovers that his old friend Rickard is dying, he agrees to pull off one last train robbery so the entire gang can retire happily. When McQueen realizes he is falling for a fellow gang member's Indian girlfriend, Colorado Carson (Virginia Mayo), he realizes he must run away with her if he ever wants a normal life. After completing the train robbery and escaping with Colorado to Mexico, McQueen finds himself a wanted man once again and must figure out how to get himself out of trouble.
