Colorado is a 1940 action drama directed by Joseph Kane that tells the story of two brothers as they end up on opposite sides during the Civil War. Don Burke (Milburn Stone), who assumes the identity of Union officer Captain Donald Mason, is arming Indian tribes amidst the ongoing battles of the Civil War trying to draw the Union troops away from their main fight in the East. Lieutenant Jerry Burke (Roy Rogers), Don's brother, is assigned to find the troublemakers and disengage the much needed Union troops for the Eastern front battles with the Confederacy. Lieutenant Burke manages to capture Macklin (Arthur Loft), the Indian commissioner and Don's partner, but his brother escapes with a hostage, Lylah (Pauline Moore). When Jerry is wounded in a shootout with his brother, charming Lylah takes care of him and the flame of passion ignites between the two. Jerry regains his health, but he struggles to deal with the ongoing battle with his brother as the final shootout is about to take place.moreless
