Come September is a 1961 comedy about a wealthy American whose world is turned upside down when his favorite vacation spot undergoes a radical transformation. Every September, the fabulously rich Robert Talbot (Rock Hudson) journeys to Italy to enjoy a month's vacation at his personal villa. One year, Talbot is feeling restless and decides to go in July, only to find that his villa's overseer Maurice (Walter Slezak) has transformed it into a hotel during Talbot's absence. Initially, Talbot is furious to learn that his peaceful vacation spot has been turned into a playground for young American boys and girls. His attitude improves, however, when he meets a gorgeous Italian woman named Lisa (Gina Lollobrigida). His happiness is short-lived, though, when he learns that Lisa is to be married to another man. Talbot tries to figure out a way to stop the marriage from happening, while dealing with the fact that the world he has always known is radically different now.moreless
