PG-13

Company is the 2007 remake of a 1970's musical, and the winner of a Tony Award for best musical revival. The musical is based on a book by George Furth, with music and lyrics composed by Stephen Sondheim, and was one of the first theatrical musicals that dealt with adult struggles in the upper-middle class. Bobby (Raul Esparza) is celebrating his 35th birthday by pledging that he will never marry. He refuses to make a wish, believing that the friends gathered around him are all the company he needs. In a fashion similar to the ghosts from a Christmas Carol, Bobby is lead through a series of vignettes with each of the couples at the party. The scenes lean Bobby to see his friends' marriages in a new light, discovering that their relationships are both complex and fulfilling. The closeness, concern and love that he experiences through their eyes leads Bobby to change the way he views both his friends and his own future. The video recording of the Broadway tour was filmed at the Ethel Barrymore Theater in New York City.
