Coneheads, directed by Steve Barron and produced by Lorne Michaels, is a 1993 film based on the Coneheads sketches from the TV show Saturday Night Live. In this offbeat comedy, a family of extraterrestrials is sent on an espionage mission to earth in preparation for an alien invasion. When they are shot down by the National Guard, they are forced to assume secret identities and try to blend in with their suburban New Jersey neighbors. Beldar (Dan Aykroyd), Prymaat (Jane Curtain) and Connie (Michelle Burke) are pursued by immigration agents as they struggle to learn earth customs. The Conehead family grows to enjoy life on earth, but will they be able to prevent the alien attack on the planet they now call home? Coneheads features an all-star cast that includes many former Saturday Night Live cast members, including Phil Hartman, Laraine Newman, Chris Farley and Kevin Nealon. Look for cameo appearances by Ellen Degeneres, Parker Posey, Drew Carey and Tom Arnold.
