Confess, a political thriller made in 2005, charts the exploits of disillusioned brilliant computer expert Terell Lessor (Eugene Byrd). Stinging from rejection and humiliated by a failed start-up venture, Terell returns to New York after a lengthy absence. Seeking revenge for his losses, he installs spy cams to capture damaging information on those who injured him. Terell joins forces with Columbia grad student Olivia Averill (Ali Larter) who is looking for ways to make social commentaries and together they gather scandal-making footage and broadcast it on a newly created website. When the duo see the potential in their set up, they start to target heads of industry, politicians and those they consider society's worst. Terell's model makes the headlines and imitators copy him with ever more dangerous examples which results in escalating violence. With law enforcement chasing him and the situation spiraling out of control, Terell must decide whether to continue on his current course of action.
