Confessions of a Sociopathic Social Climber is a humorous social satire about one woman's ruthless quest to become a San Francisco socialite. Katya Livingston (Jennifer Love Hewitt) is a 28-year-old self-centered, obnoxious advertising executive. As such, she has some rather superficial goals in life: scale the corporate ladder, knock down anybody in the way, receive an invitation to the biggest party of the year, and find a wealthy, high-profile husband. When Katya meets Charles Fitz (Colin Ferguson) on the elevator at work, she thinks she has finally found Mr. Right. However, plans fall apart as Katya's ambitions soon hinder a budding romance, and she must reconsider all her corporate greed and shallowness. Katya's friend and co-worker Eliza (Sonja Bennett), and gay best friend Ferguson (Joey Lawrence) provide additional laughs in this romantic comedy. Confessions of a Sociopathic Social Climber is a television movie based on a novel by Adele Lang.
