Confessions of an Action Hero is a 2007 documentary by filmmaker Matt Ogens that takes an intimate look into the personal lives of four ambitious do gooders that must balance their daily lives along with the practice of portraying respective classic comic book heroes. Joe McQueens sells his Super Nintendo to buy a bus ticket to LA, where he takes on the identity of The Incredible Hulk. Christopher Dennis bears the cape of The Amazing Superman amidst his obsession with the character. Gotham City's vigilante dark knight, Batman, is the focus of Maxwell Allen, who is struggling with anger issues. Meanwhile, former beauty queen Jennifer Gehrt patrols the streets of the city dressed as Wonder Woman. These people are responsible for serving justice not only to the public but to themselves as they face the hardships of juggling their persistently more vulnerable secret identities with the resulting fame of role-playing as their favorite childhood heroes.
