Confidence Girl is a crime drama from director Andrew Stone shot on location in Los Angeles, California. The story revolves around Mary Webb (Hillary Brooke) and her boyfriend, Roger Kinglsey (Tom Conway). Roger is a con-artist who relies on Mary to be the straight woman in his scams. Mary goes along with the mischievous plans out of her love for Roger, but running the cons conflicts with her innocent nature. After securing a few thousand dollars through a variety of frauds, Roger convinces Mary to do one last job before they get married and turn to the straight and narrow. The two pose as a medium and a detective to shake down their victims, but this last job proves too much for Mary's conscience to bear. With Mary getting cold feet and Detective Chief Brownell (John Galluedet) hot on their trail, Roger will do whatever it takes to keep himself out of jail.
