Cop and a Half is a comedy released in 1993 and directed by Henry Winkler of "Happy Days" fame. Nick McKenna (Burt Reynolds) is a tough Florida cop whose partner dies in a shootout during a drug sting operation. Devon Butler (Norman D. Golden II) is an eight-year-old boy who watches a lot of police shows on television and thinks he has what it takes to be a good cop. While he is playing in a secluded warehouse, Devon becomes the sole witness to an Italian mob hit. The cops urge Devon to tell what he knows, but he refuses to say anything until they let him become a real cop for a few days. Child-loathing Nick and precocious Devon form an unlikely team when the police force chooses them to be partners. As they go on a comical adventure to bring the mob to justice, Devon works his way into the heart of his solitary new friend.
