Copper Canyon is a western from 1950 that revolves around vaudeville trick shot artist, Johnny Carter (Ray Milland). Johnny wanders into town amidst a war between a group of copper miners and a group of ex-Yankee soldiers led by Lane Travis (MacDonald Carey) that controls a copper smelter. The two factions cannot come to terms and the frustrated miners ask Johnny to help them rid the town of the Yankees so they can smelt their copper. Lisa Roselle (Heddy Lamarr) is a pretty saloon girl from New Orleans who is on the side of the Yanks, until she falls in love with the dashing Johnny. What the townspeople don't know is that Johnny is only disguised as a trick shot artist, he is actually a former Confederate army hero that stole $20,000 from a Union prison camp when he escaped during the Civil War and he is being hunted by mercenary lawmen.
